Prince Charles has declared himself a Kylie Minogue fan.
The heir to the throne watched the Australian singer's guest appearance in a West End comedy Thursday evening, telling her afterward: "You were fantastic."
Minogue is the latest in a string of stars to appear in "The Play What I Wrote," a stage tribute to British comedy duo Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise. The diminutive diva dressed as a bald, portly monk and performed a song-and-dance routine.
"You were a good sport," said Charles.
Minogue appeared, reportedly at the prince's request, to raise funds for his Prince's Trust charity.
It was Charles' second viewing of the Kenneth Branagh-directed play, which has impressed critics and audiences with its blend of wordplay and knockabout farce.
"That bit with the long baguette and the pie in the face, I love all that," Charles said.
The 34-year-old Minogue, who rose to fame as an actress on the Australian soap opera "Neighbours" before turning to singing, is a huge star in Britain. Earlier this year she creacked the U.S. Billboard Top 10 with her single "Can't Get You Out Of My Head."
