Billboard has officially released their albums chart for this week.
Although they released no official statement regarding the sales of Kiss Me Once, the album debuted at #31, which is lower than Aphrodite's position on the chart in 2010 (#19). While the album may fall out of the charts next week, it should be noted that the physical, Deluxe Edition version of the album was not available for purchase until this week, and those sales will be counted on next week's chart. In a recent Instagram photo (seen above), Kylie transforms into iconic 50's movie star Marilyn Monroe! Kylie captioned the photo:
"Who has the Deluxe version of #KissMeOnce?? #MrPresident.” It appears that she is shooting a video for the song, which is only available on the deluxe version of Kiss Me Once. Kylie has been hard at work during this album era, as she has already shot videos for two other songs from the album. Official numbers or chart positions for the US Billboard Charts have not been released yet but there are a lot of predictions as to where Kiss Me Once will debut.
According to Hits Daily Double, Kiss Me Once is set to debut at #28 on the albums charts with approximately 11,910 sales. However, we should wait until tomorrow to see the exact position of the album. Kiss Me Once debuts at #2 in the UK. The album was kept from the top spot by George Michael's latest album, which sold 20,000 more copies than Kiss Me Once.
Official Chart numbers and information for the United States should come out tomorrow or on Wednesday. Kiss Me Once goes #1 in Australia! This makes it her fourth album to reach the top spot, after Light Years, Fever, and X.
The album sold 8,166 copies in it's first week. ![]() Today, Kylie has announced the launch of SexerciseTV.
